Fall Is Here and Contest Goodies.

Fall has finally arrived!! YAY!! I love this time of year. We still have some pretty warm days and the leaves aren't turning colors so much just yet but it's getting there.

I'm sorry for being so long updating but I've been going another round with sinus issues and my left ear is so stopped up I can't hear as well out of it. It's driving me insane! Yeah, short trip. :P


So, finally I can get to posting my awesome contest winnings!!! Thanks, Christy!!! I have been wanting to try this yarn for a while. I just have to figure out what to make now. She also included that little soap....handmade goat's milk with the most wonderful smell. I hate to use it because it will be gone then and I can't smell it anymore. :P I keep it on my desk so I can sniff it. lol You just can't beat handmade soap.

I finally caught up on my blog reading tonight and now I must get caught up on my knitting. My poor little tea cozy is waiting to be finished and then I have to get the stand done...which is like a round potholder that the teapot sits on. I've also got several new designs for the group which I need to get written up and tested. I so hate to get behind...it seems to take forever to catch up again.

Contest Goodies And Fabric Finds...

Yeah, I'm still here. You didn't think you'd get rid of me that easy did ya? :P We're just dealing with the chaos that is summer vacation but not for much longer. Starting next week, the schools begin to start up again. My little bit of sanity will hopefully be returning before long. The next weeks will be spent gathering supplies and getting haircuts and finding shoes and clothes for everyone. Then....maybe I'll have some time to relax.

These two balls of yarn are part of my "winnings" from Aunt Kathy's contest. I've never used this yarn and I'm looking forward to knitting them up. They are so soft and the colors are bright...photos aren't doing them justice.

She also sent me these cute sock blockers she made. I love them! I have never even seen a real set of sock blockers in person so this was a real treat. If I ever get those socks done...I now have the blockers to make them look good. Woo Hoo! Thanks so much, AK!

Here are the first of my fabric finds at Hobby Lobby this past week. These are just some remnants they had in a mark-down bin. The flowery one is what I grabbed first. It just screamed "vintage" to me and I have a major obsession with all things vintage so it was definitely coming home with me. I got some plain to go with it so it wouldn't be just the one fabric. I'm just going to be practicing so I don't want to spend a lot of money on fabric until I decide I can make something I'm not ashamed to show. lol

Here is the other set I grabbed. I love green and I love flowers. This one kinda made me think 70's...hippie chick....I have a little of that in me too. :P I think it was the little sparkles that sold me though.

The photo is a little blurry but you can see the little sparkles well enough. It really is this bright. I'm looking forward to trying out my new apron patterns....DUH! totally forgot to take photos of those! With a little patience and a LOT of luck and a LOT of help from my Mom....these fabrics will become cute aprons.

I'm getting that big set of cloths test knitted now...it's gonna take a while...there are 32 cloths in the set. I can't wait to get them posted and share some photos. I've also joined a group of Dishcloth Designers in putting together a calendar of dishcloth patterns. The calendar sales will be donated to the Breast Cancer Society. I am pretty excited about this since I get to do something for a good cause and in honor of an amazing family member (Marlene) who died from breast cancer. It's an honor to be included with some amazing designers who were my inspiration in getting started and whom I consider to be my friends. These include (I sure hope I don't leave anyone out....Rachel , Alli , Aunt Kathy and I'm pretty sure Rhonda is there too. I'm not sure when the calendars will be ready and available but I'll definitely keep you posted on that. I've already submitted my design and now I just have to go put duct tape on my hands and mouth so I don't spoil the surprise. :P

A Long Week....

I think it must be the excitement of the end of school approaching....kids are busy with end of year stuff and everyone is making plans for the summer....makes the last weeks of school just seem to drag along.

We spent Memorial Day at my sister's house enjoying the pool and my BIL's awesome grilling. He can grill up some seriously good food! Ms Thang's photo pretty much sums up their feelings about summer vacation.

Then we had field day at her school. It was more like "Field Morning" this year. It was over well before lunch which is not typical of the past years. I have no idea why the change but she wanted to hang out at school with her friends rather than leave early. Some of her friends won't be going to the same school with her next year so these are the last few days they will have to see each other.

This is actually after the event was over....they were racing back to the starting point to join back up with the class. Can you believe it was COLD that morning?! I'm so glad we decided on jeans and added the thermal shirt underneath. (I figured if she got hot later...the thermal could be taken off) The kids with just the t-shirts and shorts were freezing. We even had a blanket to cover up with. By afternoon it was sunny and hot....weird weather for May.

This is the latest bag...changed up a little more. Ms Thang gave her bag to her BFF at school. BFF wanted one after seeing the teachers' bags so Ms Thang gave her the one she had. She liked this one better anyway. Now I have two more to make before I can continue with ours...AGAIN. Two of her friends asked me to make them one...both little boys which I thought was strange. When I questioned them....they both said they wanted to give one to their Moms. Awwww....how can you say No to that? They both are very sweet and so protective of my daughter. It's like she has two big brothers with her at school every day so I thought it was the least I could do to say Thanks. They requested their Moms' favorite colors...both pink with blue on one. Now, I just need them finished before next Wednesday. :P

In awesome goodies news....another awesome parcel came from South Africa. Shirl sent these yummy yarns and candy for our tasting enjoyment. I'm talking lots of candy....Jelly Tots, Smarties, Sour Jelly Tots, Sour Bones and the absolute most delicious chocolate ever!! I would have posted photos of the candy but the packages didn't last long....we ripped right into that stuff. Most of them are now in Ziploc bags. lol Well, except for the chocolate which has been entirely consumed. Thanks so much, Shirl and George, too!! We love you!

Off to get this bag off the needles to start the bags for the boys.

A Little Change Of Pace...

My intention this past weekend was to finish up three dishcloths that I had OTN....that didn't happen. I could not knit a dishcloth to save my life. I have one still OTN and with the correct number of stitches. One was frogged and the other is OTN but with extra stitches that came from I have no idea where. I thought...at this point...it's time for a change of pace.

This is a 14 year old boy's idea of what you do with knitting needles with the lights on the tips. Aunt Kathy sent me these in the Hot Cocoa Swap. I love these needles and I promise AK....they are unharmed...I rescued them. I have to admit though...it was pretty cool.

I have been considering knitting the Everlasting Bagstopper for about 5 months now but just never got around to it. Froggie gave me this awesome yarn...Sugar & Cream kit with 3 large skeins...so I thought why not. It's almost time to start going to my sister's to swim in her pool and this would be perfect for a "pool bag" to carry wet things home or whatever other stuff we need to lug around. It knits up really fast....mindless after you get the bottom done...perfect pattern for me! I'm planning to make one for everybody so we can be a little more organized for a change and maybe the kids won't leave their clothes behind. That happened quite a few times last year. lol

I bought this yarn to make myself a scarf. Froggie and I were doing our own little KAL. She got the same yarn just in a different colorway. I tried 3 different patterns with it this past weekend with no luck. (There's that number 3 again. :P ) I finally settled on the One Row Handspum Scarf by the Yarn Harlot. I love it so far! I love that it's the same pattern on every single row! I can knit and watch TV or talk...perfection! I cast on 30 stitches instead of the 26 she did but I think the 26 stitches would have looked just as nice. I'm using a US Size 7 needle so I was afraid it was going to turn out a little small. Come on, Froggie!! You gotta catch up!! *You should have plenty of time because I can't seem to put this Everlasting Bagstopper down. *

Back to the bag....maybe I'll have an FO tomorrow.

Spring Time Fun

I am finally beginning to feel better...YAY! Started my antibiotics yesterday...just a nasty case of sinusitis luckily...better than bronchitis anyway. The little man and Ms Thang were playing for a bit before he left to go home so I thought I would take some more Spring photos to share with ya. Well, I got a little distracted. lol

Out of who knows how many photos, I did manage to get a couple of good ones of the little man in the air. *as far as a little man can go anyway* He loves that trampoline! Then I got another idea...

Under the trampoline I went....yeah...flat on my back on the ground....but it was worth it. How cute is this? It was so hard to get him to be still long enough to get a shot but I got one really good one. He thought I was crazy I think but it made him laugh. lol

The girl had to get in on the fun...I was afraid she was gonna jump too hard and make contact with me. She got awfully close more than a few times. The things I do for a photo op. Nice hair-do there, girlfriend! :P

I love to take pictures of them when they're not paying any attention...kind of a "stolen moment" sort of thing. These are so much better than posed photos in my opinion. He looked so deep in thought and I think the black and white just added to the drama. In reality, he was fascinated by my neighbor on his riding lawn mower...probably thinking of the damage he could do with one those things. The kid is fearless.

I've made a little progress on the second sock....hard to knit with the dang headache I had so I can't wait to get back to knitting more. I know I need to get that shawl going again but "the evil that is Ravelry" is making me want to knit a Clapotis . I have some Noro Kureyon ...had it for quite a while actually...didn't know what to do with it...saw a Clapotis knitted with it and now...I WANT ONE! I think I need an intervention....Back. Away. From. The. Noro. *sigh* Icelandic guilt will not allow me to cast on..... back to the socks.

Tawashi Time!

This is what I will be doing tonight! The awesome Citrus Slice Tawashi by Rhonda White. I love these...they are so cute and useful too! Rhonda is a talented designer but I'm sure you all know that! On the rare chance that someone doesn't know Rhonda, you should check out her site. She has some very nice designs. She also happens to be a super nice person.

Aunt Kathy was making these Tawashi on her blog recently and I thought they were so cute. I hopped over to Rhonda's Etsy store to check it out. *you should check it out too* I ordered the pattern for the Tawashi and noticed she had the acrylic yarn. So I ordered a couple of those too. The colors are really bright...perfect for this pattern. I'm doing lemon and lime slices.

This is what really grabbed my attention about the yarn other than the vivid colors. It's ANTIBACTERIAL!!!! Is that awesome or what!!?? I have never seen antibacterial yarn. The absolute most perfect thing for dish scrubbies. It makes me feel much better about scrubbies. No yucky stuff growing when you're not looking.

I'm sparing you the Spring photo today. Brian is getting sick and a bit jealous....he's still stuck with snow and cold weather. Tomorrow you may not be safe though....Brian, you have been warned.

I Am Still Alive....Frazzled, But Alive

Wow, I didn't realize it had been THAT long since I posted! Things have been a bit crazy and stressful here lately. Thursday night, my Mom had to go the emergency room....she has COPD and is on oxygen but normally she does really well. She has been fighting a cold (we all have) and after a week of not getting better, she suddenly got worse. My sister took her to the ER and she was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. She's doing much better today and may even get to come home tomorrow. Thankfully, she has a wonderful doctor who knows what's best for her...despite everything she says. lol

Yesterday was a day of storms and tornadoes. This is what it looked like during the day. It should not be this dark in the daytime. It got a little scary there for a while. We had two that got way too close for comfort. These aren't even the worst of the clouds....I just wasn't going out there in the worst parts taking pictures. :P

I did manage to get some knitting done. I am so glad that yucky "what the heck am I gonna knit" feeling is gone. YAY!!! I really didn't like that at all. This is the Cascade Fixation yarn that Cat sent me...she is my enabler. Okay, I do it to her, too...fair is fair I guess. lol It took me a while to get the hang of it. With the elastic and my tight knitting....we had to do some compromising with each other. My Cascade and I are now really good friends. I LOVE THIS YARN!!! I have to have more!!! Where do I get this stuff!? I am also totally and completely in love with this sock pattern. For a newbie sock knitter to be able to knit something so pretty that looks complicated is just absolutely awesome!!! I cannot wait to finish them and wear them and tell everybody I see (even if they could not care less) I MADE THESE!!! I highly recommend the Broadripple Socks . Until something better comes along...if that's even possible.....these are my favorites. I should probably wait until I actually put them on to say that but how can they not be awesome? For any other newbie sock knitters....try this pattern....it's so easy you won't believe you're knitting such beautiful socks. Believe me...I am all about the quick and easy. lol

Sorry I took so long to post again. Life gets crazy...you all have been there. And if anyone doesn't already know....the new spring issue of Knitty is out! Check it out!

I got my issue of Simply Knitting today! I live in a town that has no Barnes & Noble bookstore...how crazy is that? This means I can't get my hands on this awesome magazine. Lucky for me...Cat (who told me about this magazine in the first place) worked out a little system for me to be able to get it. This issue has a gorgeous free shawl pattern (Hearts & Flowers) and an easy little sock pattern that I'm itching to try. I also love the Sweet Cupid by Alan Dart. He has some awesome toy patterns and this is the first one of his designs that I've gotten my hands on. The cupid is so cute.

It also had a free set of stitch markers (5 total). She got me the pink ones...YAY!!! They had them in blue but I really wanted the pink. You can't beat free. Besides the awesome patterns and tips...this magazine is notorious for freebies....see why I want it so bad? Not sure when I'll get around to trying any of these patterns though because.....

She also sent me this. Two balls of Cascade Fixation and a sock pattern to go with it. I don't know the name of this colorway but it's so pretty. I cannot wait to try these socks. They look complicated but the designer promises them to be "deceptively simple". I sure hope he's right.
The pattern is Broadripple Socks designed by Rob Matyska.

Here's a close-up for ya. I've heard about this yarn but had never seen any....got to say that I think I'm gonna love it. It's not the tiny little thin sock yarn that terrifies me so much. Size 3 needles...I can handle that. The colors are perfect for Spring. I'm thinking these will be OTN pretty soon.

I Refuse To Not Knit!

Things didn't work out so well with the bag pattern I originally intended to knit. I lost count of the number of times that I frogged and re-started and frogged and..... So, I decided that this yarn is kinda getting himself a little attitude going. Excuse me, Mr Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, but do you realize who you are messing with here? I may be small but I sure as heck ain't gonna be intimidated by some chunky yarn. Puh-leeeeeezzzz. Off to Ravelry I went in search of a different pattern which I could use to whoop his butt.

That pattern would be Purl McBigBottom by The Crochet Dude. Mine is a little smaller than the one in the pattern photo but still a pretty good size for a bag AND.....we are totally kicking Mr Wool-Ease Thick & Quick's behind!!! Of course I'll do a little "tweaking" to it somehow but mostly "by the pattern". It's knitting up pretty quick and that's a good thing....I so need that right now. I'll keep you posted. This could end up being a good one for the Christmas gift box.

This is hopefully going to be my next victim. Froggie and I both got a hank in different colors and our plan was to knit ourselves a scarf. We played around with a design today and would like to get it cast on tomorrow...imagine that, knitting for ourselves. As long as I don't go playing around with what we charted already...tomorrow shouldn't be a problem. I have a couple of different ideas floating around my head as I type...maybe I'll chart them up and get her opinion tomorrow. We'll pick one and cast on while we wait for the kids to get out of school.

Baby Cloths And Duckie Parts....

I got started on my baby knitting right away since the little one seems to be in a hurry. I considered doing a handful of cutesy little baby cloths but given the rush I thought just quick little garter stitch cloths might be best. I can always do some cutesy ones later. I have a skein of Cotton Tots in Confetti...it's the first time I've knitted with this yarn. I have heard some complaints but I have to say that I really like it. It does seem to fuzz up a bit but I've been able to easily brush off the bits of fuzz so far. It's very soft and I like the feel of it while knitting. I think I have a skein of pink around here somewhere....will have to stash dive and get it out to make more.

I still don't have lilduckie's brother seamed and stuffed yet but I thought I would post a picture of the duckie parts....give ya an idea of what he's gonna look like. It's really not such a neat pile of parts but I hid all the ends underneath so it would look all neat and tidy. :P *Froggie, DON"T LET CHRISTOPHER SEE THIS POST!!!*

*Still haven't touched my Icelandic Shawl yet. I am so disgusted about having to frog back. I will get back on track...not to worry.

It was an awesome warm, sunny day today. 64 degrees F and I can check the mail without swimming out to the mailbox or renting a boat. YAY!!

Teddy Beat The Socks Off My Needles....

As of this post, I still don't have that second sock finished. Not to worry, I have done a little knitting on it though...it will not fall victim to SSS. Ms Thang has decided that a Teddy was a bit more urgent than that second sock. (She's still wearing the first one to bed...lol) Today, I knitted my fingers off to get this little fella ready...he's waiting on one more ear and he's all done.

The color is nowhere near true in the photo but it's late and the lighting really stinks right now. He's/She's a very pretty pale mauve color knitted with more of the wonderful yarn that Shirls sent me from South Africa. It's called Lollipop yarn but there's no color listed on the label. It's 100 % acrylic...yeah, acrylic......and I love this stuff! It's so soft and it's an absolute pleasure to knit. I used some scrap Sugar & Cream in Black for the face. I think I need to invest in something a little lighter for faces if this toy knitting continues. The cotton looks a little bulky to me.

Oh yeah, almost forgot...he's/she's going to need a little scarf or a ribbon around that little neck. I'll have to get that figured out too. I like the way a little scarf looks on the teddies...maybe that will be okay with Ms Thang. I'll be sure to ask first.

*Got half of the body done for the next duckie....March will be here soon so I need to get busy. Froggie's little one is having that birthday whether I finish or not and I want to be finished. He's gonna love it!

Okay, gotta get some rows done on my Icelandic Shawl tonight because Friday will be here even sooner than March. lol Then there's the sock.....can I borrow some knitting hands? Somebody? Anybody? Hellooooooooooo? :P

My Cocoa Package Has Arrived!

I have a lot of photos but I wanted to try to share everything. The mail lady brought my Cocoa Swap box of goodies today! First off, I was so totally shocked to find out that my secret swapper was none other than the awesome sweet Aunt Kathy . She spoiled me pretty darn good.
This first photo is not even all the goodies. I got my favorite candy...Ferrero Rocher....several different flavors of Holy Chocolate...sock knitting book....needles with the lighted tips...cute hot chocolate mug...mini marshmallows (yummy)...some luscious hand lotion, a cute Chihuahua fridge magnet, a magnetic bookmark and pretty stitch markers. She also included one of her own original dishcloth designs.

Here's a close-up of the bags...aren't they just too cute? The one on the left (darker pink) was made by Aunt Kathy. The one on the right is made of felt and has cute little flower cut outs. I love them both!

Here is the yarn goodness I got...some sock yarn in the brightest colors and 1 ball of cotton in a neutral color....sort of an ecru I think you would call it. I love em! Can't wait to knit something up.

Here are my pretty stitch markers. The pink ones are my cocoa swap markers and the blue ones are my prize for linking to her contest from my blog. I can't get enough of the pretty stitch markers...every girl needs a stash of shiny, girly things.

And last, but certainly not least......my Blah Buster Buddy and his own personal cup of hot cocoa.
He is just too cute. This is why I want to learn to crochet! There's even marshmallows in his cup of chocolate.....She thought of everything! And he's even the same color as my little chihuahua, Diva. Wow, I hope I didn't forget anything....there were so many goodies in my box and I was so excited....If I find anything I forgot I will post them later.

More Contest Goodies Are Here

I got my contest goodies today. The sock keychain kit is too cute. I'm getting a little better at the tiny knitting since I've been working on some toys so I hope this goes well. I can't wait to put my keys on it and display my knitting.


This is the beautiful Superwash Merino I received from Laura at The Unique Sheep . I have no idea what this will become just yet. It's 235 yds of DK weight "Sinful"ness. I do know that it will be something for me. :)

Goodies From South Africa

Froggie and I had a "girl's day out" today. It's been a while and we both needed it bad. lol
We hit a few thrift stores and of course the LYS, Hobby Lobby and Michael's....you have to do some yarn shopping. It's was a very nice day and I wish we could do it more often. After picking up the kids from school...I came home to find that I had received a package from my wonderful friend Shirley in South Africa. They don't get Peaches & Cream or Sugar & Cream over there so Froggie and I had sent her a package with lots of cotton and a few other little extras. This is what I got from Shirl today.....

an awesome package of so many different yarns. I can't even begin to describe my excitement when I opened this box. There was more of the pretty fuzzies, some ribbon type yarn and lots of wools and the softest acrylics and....I haven't done inventory yet to let you know what they all are. I was too excited. She also included some candy (chocolate and Jelly Tots) which have been mostly devoured already by the kids. lol Jelly Tots were a huge hit! I did manage to get a little of the chocolate myself.

She also sent me this scarf and glove set that she knit herself. They're fingerless gloves and they're so soft and warm. I am actually looking forward to getting out in the morning so I can try them out. The picture really doesn't do it justice...they're gorgeous!

Now I'm off to listen to the CD she included with some music from South Africa.

Decisions....

Tonight, I took some time to do a little yarn shopping with my gift certificate. Yeah, it was hard to decide....Laura has beautiful hand-painted yarn and the colors...omg...I wanted one of everything! I decided on some gorgeous Superwash Wool in the color Sinful and the cutest little Mini Sock Blocker Keychain . This is going to be my first sock. I thought it would be a good first project to get of feel of knitting socks and then I'd have a cute little keychain to show everyone that I love to knit.
The Unique Sheep is a place you really should check out. She has yarn, roving, nice patterns and the kits available also. I'll post photos of the goodies as soon as I get them.

OMG...OMG...I WON!!

We had a little contest in our Hot Cocoa Swap. It basically went like this:
The Rules:

-Must be made from marshmallows and toothpicks.
-Must have some sort of yarn content.
-Must represent a living creature (mammal or reptile or alien)

Other than that, make your sculpture however you like. Could be a family. Could be one solo dude. Get creative, get imaginative.

I borrowed one my son's Tech Decks and this is what I came up with. I thought he was really cute but I really didn't expect to win. But, we won!!! I can't believe it!!

I won an awesome gift certificate to The Unique Sheep . I cannot wait to go shopping...I don't know how I will ever decide but it will be fun trying.

Hot Cocoa Swap...Topic Of The Week #2

Now that we're in the thick of 'Winter'... has your knitting changed to match the season? Are you moving on from dishcloths, and tank tops to afghans, hats and mittens? Has your yarn changed from silk or cotton to wool, superwash or heavier cottons?


For me, I think my projects have changed somewhat to match the season. I have plans to make a scarf, a shawl and hopefully some mittens. I already have a pair of slippers done and will be making more of those. I find that I'm not making as many dishcloths but those are one project that I will always make.

My yarn doesn't really change. I prefer natural fibers and pretty much stick with the cottons and wool or wool blends. I have recently found an acrylic that doesn't make me gag. lol It's the only new fiber that has found it's way in.

I think it's only natural to begin thinking of warmer projects when it's so cold outside. If I didn't have so many things going on already, I have some bulky wool blend that I would knitting up now into a thick, warm afghan.


Speaking of weather...it's a nippy 27 degrees F here this morning and there's still no sign of the white stuff. Last report says that rain will be moving in tonight and by tomorrow morning we will have sleet. I will be waiting on those snow deliveries from my friends who have too much already and have offered to send some my way. Send BIG boxes...we've got to cover about an acre of land here folks. Oh and if you could put a rush on that stuff...my kids are driving me insane. :P Is it snowing yet? Is it snowing yet? ...........

One More Down....

Another DROPS headband is done for Christmas 2008 gifting. I used the yarn leftover from the Pocketbook Slippers. It may even be a set since either pattern is so easy and quick to knit.
Thanks to "Ms Thang" for being my model. She's the only one around here who will patiently pose for me with my FO's.

This is the top view...not completely happy with the striping again...but I don't think the giftee is going to mind. As long as it does it's job, she will be happy.

I'm hoping to get around to cutting the lining for my Isabeau Purse tomorrow so I can get that finished too. Then, I will have finished everything on my January list.

I got this yummy yarn this past week at my LYS. I almost forgot to take a photo before I had the hank all wound into a ball. It's a beautiful hand dyed yarn made by Araucania called Aysen.


Here it is all wound up and ready for knitting. It's going to be a scarf for me. Yeah...ME. I just haven't decided on a pattern yet. I am open to suggestions....what do you think?

Pocketbook Slippers Finished

It's cold and rainy and yucky and storms are heading this way. We had one last night that shook the house. The weather is so weird these days. Some days, it's warm enough for shorts...just crazy. I'm just hoping the weatherman is wrong as usual because those storms they're talking about are nasty ones!

I finished my pocketbook slippers which will go into my Christmas 2008 gifts box. These will be for my aunt. I'm pretty sure there will be a few more pairs of these done before the holiday rolls around again. Now, you all know how I feel about acrylic yarn and I never in a million years thought I would ever say this but.....I really enjoyed knitting with this yarn AND...it's acrylic! Yep, I said it. I know...I'm shocked, too. It's called I Love This Yarn and it's by Hobby Lobby if I'm not mistaken. The color is Naturals Stripe. It is surprisingly soft and great to knit with. I have another DROPS headband OTN in the leftovers.


Sorry for the dark photo...I just couldn't seem to get a good one. This is how they look when you put them on. They are a little big on me but I have very narrow feet. I think they're going to fit her just fine though. They stretch a good bit and would probably fit several different size feet. I wear a women's 6 1/2 (sometimes a 7) and even though they are a little loose...I think I could still wear them comfortably.
