This has been a busy weekend. We didn't get to go camping so this has been spring cleaning weekend. And there was plenty of yard work to be done. We haven't had a lot of rain so I've been trying to make sure all my recent plantings have water. Some of the shrubs are not looking too good right now. But, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll come back around.
I've also been trying to get my soap sacks done. They will be perfect for us to take camping. Of course everyone has to have their own personal soap sack so I really need to get busy. So far, I have one finished and one OTN. It's over half way done though. THANK GOODNESS! Now I only have 4 more to go. lol It's a great way to use up scraps too. And you don't have to worry about dirty, sticky soap when you're camping. I have two weeks before we go camping so I should be done then. (I hope.)
Kids are out of school for the next two weeks also. They are so happy! And they will stay that way til they find out Mom's got some cleaning for them as well. lol Not too much....I will let them enjoy their break. This is our first year doing the "year round" school calendar so they still haven't completely adjusted to it yet. I like it much better myself. They seem to...until summer rolls around and they don't get that long break.
Hope to have an original pattern to post soon. Just got to get it typed out and a picture to post and then I can share it with you.
The soap sack in my photo is a variation of Amy's soap sack. You can find the pattern here ... http://www.keyway.net/crafts/soapsack.htm
It's simple but cute and pretty easy to remember.
