Fun in the sun

This is an excellent way to keep the kids busy while I knit. This is my youngest one, Michaela, and she is part fish. She would live in the pool if I let her. I have also learned that it's a sure-fire way to get her to do her homework. For the first time, she came home...did homework right away...and then immediately put on the bathing suit. We've only had it up for 2 days now and the water is still a little on the chilly side. I think it shows...lol.
The boys had to get in on the fun, too. This is my youngest son, Jacob and my little nephew, Killian. He wore those little "floaties" off and on all day waiting on the kids to get home from school so he could get in the pool. I should have taken pictures of him watching Barney with them on his arms. lol He had a lot of fun...til it was time to get out. Not a happy camper! If it's a pretty day tomorrow, this is what we will be doing tomorrow afternoon. Next time, Mom is going to join the fun.

New Helicopter Dishcloth

I have another new design posted on the Dishing Knit Out site. I'm trying to get some cloths that are good for the boys. There are so many pretty patterns for the girls but not so much for the guys. I have two boys and a nephew so they expect some "guy stuff". I was working on another one also...an animal, but he didn't turn out so well. He is on the back burner for now. I will try to work him out later. Not so sure that's gonna happen though. lol

Another New Pattern Posted

Just wanted to let you all know that I just posted another new pattern to the"Dishing" site. My little whale design. I think he would have looked better in a blue shade but I'm all out of blue and couldn't get to Hobby Lobby today. I'm much too impatient to wait....had to knit him up to see how he was going to look. I think he turned out rather cute. :) Now back to work. Got one more ready to test knit and two others on the graph paper. And still a few others in my little brain....gotta get em out to make room for more. lol

New Karate Pattern Available

I have a new design uploaded to Dishing Knit Out. This is my Karate Dishcloth. My kids took karate for several years along with some of our good friends. This is similar to the design used at our karate school so the kids were pretty happy with it. I think this is a better photo since the orange color shows up in this one. Okay, going to work on a few other new ones and get some much needed rest. My daughter's field day was today. It was fun but a long day. We are both so tired. Hope you like the new design. Be back asap with more.

Camping & Dishing Knit Out

We went camping this weekend. We usually go every other weekend when the weather permits. It was pretty nice but a little cold at night. This is the awesome view. One of the reasons we love to go.

I wanted to let everyone know that I got the Dishing Knit Out site all fixed up. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience. I now have my patterns available in both Word Doc. and PDF format. I'm sure some of you would rather have PDF than Word doc. so I wanted to be able to offer both.

I still don't have my KAL done. I've spent a lot of time in the frog pond with this one. I think I will take a break from trying...but I refuse to give up. I will get it done sooner or later. I have seen some photos of the finshed cloth and it's really pretty.

Correction on Killian's T-riffic Washcloth

I have made a correction to Killian's T-riffic Washcloth. There was an error on row 40. So sorry for any confusion. Thanks so much to Cora, a fellow member of Monthly Dishcloths group for catching my mistake.

New Patterns Posted On Dishing Knit Out

I got the new patterns posted on the Dishing Knit Out site....must have been a blog issue. This is a photo of the Choo Choo pattern. I got the Rocket pattern up as well. And I actually got Day 1 of my KAL done. It's turning out so pretty. I was having some problems with the p2tog tbl. I tend to knit tight so it was hard to get my needle in there at that awkward angle. A fellow group member shared a tip she learned and it has made all the difference. I was dreading starting over but doing it her way is so much easier and I'm actually looking forward to finishing it. I'm going to get back to my knitting and I hope you like the new patterns.

New Patterns For Sale

I have 2 new dishcloth designs for sale that I intended to post today on the Dishing Knit Out site but I seem to be having some issues with uploading photos tonight. After several unsuccessful attempts, I have decided to wait until tomorrow and try again. So sorry for the delay. I was really looking forward to getting them up on the site. I think I may have to delete the photos I have and start over. Maybe they're trying to tell me something.....like my photos aren't very good. lol I will work on it in the morning and hopefully get it figured out as early as possible. Then maybe I will actually be able to work on my KAL (I am still so far behind) and on to test knitting the next design that I have written out. Still have 2 more waiting on a test knit.

I Finally Got Together.....New Site!

I finally got it together and got my new site set up to sell my designs. This ladybug is one of 4 designs I have for sale. Each pattern is $2.00 and payments are made through Paypal. I pretty excited to finally have it up and ready and I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. I should have one more posted tomorrow. I'm almost finished test knitting it...will be done by tonight. You can find the new site here...http://dishingknitout.blogspot.com/

Now I've got to get busy on my KAL for the Yahoo Monthly Dishcloths group...I'm 2 days behind already. I think this is a lacy one and I love those! I'm not so good with them but when I finally finish...it's well worth it. lol

Apple Surprise

This is a cloth I designed for my daughter to give her teachers...a little end of the year gift. I did make one little correction on the worm as I was unhappy with his little head. I haven't had time to knit another just for posting a picture. Once knitted his head won't be as pointy as the one in my photo. Just a little something to share while I continue to work on some other patterns. Feel free to use this one as well as the others if you'd like. Happy Knitting everyone!

Addicted To Knitting

While I'm working on more patterns, which is consuming most of my time right now, I thought I would show you just how addicted to knitting I am. Everyone laughed at me when I made this steering wheel cover but, my hands don't get cold on the wheel....lol.
I even made a matching bag for trash to hang over the seat. It's the only way to get my kids NOT to throw their trash in the floor. I made it with scraps of Lion Brand Homespun. (so soft) Just in case anyone else is as obsessed as me, I will post the link for the pattern. You can find it here....http://terrathree.livejournal.com/161227.html

Gotta get back to my patterns. I hope to have enough soon to set up another site to sell some of my designs. I still intend to post some here for free as well. Hey, everybody loves free. I know I do!

Easter Egg Dishcloth

I knitted this cute Easter Egg dishcloth and gave it as a gift. It was designed by Kayleen Clements. She is sharing the pattern on her blog...http://kayleenknits.blogspot.com/ . This picture does not do it justice...it's got some really nice detail that doesn't seem to show well in my photo.

I was hoping to have my next freebie ready to post today, but I had to make some minor adjustments. Have to do another test knit and then I hope to have it posted tomorrow. It's a design for my 2 year old nephew, Killian. I don't want to say too much and give it away. I want it to be a surprise. I will only say that it would probably look best done in purple...lol. Okay, that should be a dead give-away to anyone who knows what 2 year olds are into. Check back soon, I promise to have it up ASAP.

Little Miss Happy Flower

I finally finished "Little Miss Happy Flower". She is so cute! She was designed by Rachel van Schie who always does the most awesome work! She has some new designs coming out this Thursday I believe. I can't wait to see what she's come up with now. You can find her designs at
http://rachelsknittingcorner.blogspot.com/

And I finished another soap sack. Now I have only 2 more to go. I really hope to be done before we go camping but it's not like I don't take my knitting with me. Ok, I take my knitting EVERYWHERE I go. Don't all knitters do that?

I (We) also wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the wonderful comments about our sewing machine dishcloth. I am working on a few more designs and I can't wait to post another one. Your nice comments and encouragement have helped me get over the fear of posting. I honestly never dreamed so many people would like our pattern. We both appreciate the positive feedback.
