Modular Vortex Cloth

I finished my Modular Vortex cloth for the COTW group. I finished it days ago but haven't gotten around to posting til now. It was fun and quick. Now I have another coaster to use on my desk. Once again, it was easier than I thought and I've learned something new. That's always a good thing. I haven't had as much knitting time as I would like lately. You would think with the kids back in school, I would have so much free time but it hasn't been so. Seems like it's been crazy around here for so long.

We are finally getting some rain around here. It hasn't been nearly enough rain but it is better than the none we were getting. I'm sitting here now looking at some dark clouds and hoping that we're about to get some more. Everyone's grass is brown, flowers are dead and the shrubs are looking like they have seen better days. I am so looking forward to autumn but afraid of what the winter will be like. With the awful summer we've had, I'm thinking winter will be the other extreme. At least now the temperature here is 84 degrees...a big change from the usual 98 at this time of the day. I took this photo in the back yard. The sun was peeking out of the clouds and I just thought it was a pretty.
There's the rain now! YAY!

A vortex cloth, now that's an interesting pattern. I haven't tried mine yet; I'm wrapped up, figuratively speaking, in this prayer shawl project. You are way ahead of me in trying out new patterns, my friend! I have to get a move on and catch up! Have a BLESSED day.
