My Ballband

Finally got around to doing the ballband. It's almost done in the photo...just have to bind off and weave in the ends. Not the bright colors I've seen on other ballbands but I love earth tones so this is what I chose. Thanks, CeElle, for your inspiration and encouragement. Anyone who is hesitant to do this one, like I was, don't be afraid. It was easy to do and easy to memorize. After the first set of row, I didn't even have to look at the pattern anymore. Gotta love those!

As for Ravelry, it's awesome. I've spent so much time looking at other knitter's work that I haven't even finished setting myself up yet. lol There's so much to see. I need to get a Flickr account set up for my photos. You have to have it to show your photos on the site.

Yippee! It's beautiful! Ballbands don't have to be bright to be striking. Wonderful job! I signed up for Ravelry - perhaps I will be invited in another year or two~

Until then, I will just have to enjoy everyone else's jubilation.

Have a lovely week. Thanks for sharing.

Your ballband is wonderful, Melanie! I've done several with variegated yarn but not with two colors, so you are way ahead of me on that one. Have fun on ravelry! :)

Great job on the ballband! Isn't it a blast? I had no idea how the different bands got across the stitches until I actually understood what I was doing. I love the brick look of the pattern. You go!
