The Sock Is Finished!

I know you're probably all sick to death of hearing about my sock but I wanted to show you that I did finish it. I even did the kitchener stitch and I am amazed that it really is invisible. I didn't believe it but the seam just disappeared! Awesome! It's rather confusing the first time but once I got to the end, I didn't even have to look back at the directions. I love learning something new!

I was able to put it on but it's a snug fit so I asked my youngest son to try it on....snug on him too. Then it was Ms. Thang's turn...she told me yesterday that "that sock better be for me".....lol Well, that sock is definitely for her because it is a perfect fit for her. It also doesn't hurt that it is her favorite color...orange. She gladly modeled the sock for me while I took some photos.

Later on, I checked to see what she was up to...too quiet means trouble you know....she was lying in the floor on a comforter watching TV with that sock still on her foot. Never mind that she doesn't match....she says she's waiting on the other one. :P

I am so addicted to felting, saw a book today at the yarn store that was FULL of crocheted purses and mostly felted ones, I wish I would have just went ahead and bought it...I can not even remember the name now, but I really want it, but then again, like I told Jack, I would get upset, because I would not be able to afford the wool needed to make them (am almost out of wool)...I am working on the jointed teddy bear and itching to be done with it, because now I want to make myself a pair of socks (crochted)

I am so proud of you....I looks GREAT!!!! And to be honest, your Ms. Thang ( who sounds a lot like my lil missy) made my whole day. Things like that just make my heart melt (and sing).

Congrats you knitting goddess!

So glad you have been brought over to the Sock Side. lol The sock looks great.

As far as Ms. Thang is concerned, it looks like you better get-to-knitting before you get told off. LOL!

So glad the sock process is working for you. Keep up the great work.

You seem to be going just as fast as me Melanie, aren't they fun though.

What size needles did you use?

Have you decided on the color for your next sock yet?

I just bought some cool yarn marked down half price $7.49 a skein... I wish it would hurry and get here now that I have smaller needles

You better get going and finish the second one ;)
You did great on your first sock and you even conquered kitchener's. I have no trouble doing it until someone interrupts my concentration and then it all goes down from there. I have yet to find a time to do it without interuption. Even when home alone the phone rings and then it's over. I know don't anwer the phone!...but just the phone ringing is enough to mess me up. Guess I have a mental block about kitchener's. Good luck on your second sock. Your (daughter's) orange sock is perfect :)
